HARBOR SPRINGS, Mich. -- Boyne, the Midwest's largest and most diverse collection of championship golf with three northern Michigan resorts and 162 holes, announces the hiring of PGA Professional, Barry Redmond, to the Boyne Golf Academy teaching staff. Redmond will be based from Boyne Highlands Resort in Harbor Springs. Other Boyne properties include The Inn at Bay Harbor - A Renaissance Golf Resort and Bay Harbor Golf Club, both of Bay Harbor, and Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls.

In his new role as a BOYNE Teaching Professional, Redmond brings his 25 years of teaching experience to work on junior golf programs, multi-day programs, along with further development and growth of the Boyne Golf Academy as a nationally recognized golf school program.
Redmond, a Class A PGA Professional and previously ranked among the best teachers in Michigan by Golf Digest, spent much of his career as a premier player and teacher in the state of Michigan. He won the Michigan PGA Championship in 1990 and 1992, Michigan Open in 1989, as well as competed in the 1994 PGA Championship at Southern Hills, along with the Buick Open four times.
