DENVILLE, N.J. -- The Alzheimer's Association's 2010 Legendary Links Golf Raffle is a unique golf fundraising event, which affords golf enthusiasts the chance to win a round of golf at some of the most prestigious golf courses in the country. The drawing for the 29 prizes will be held during a cocktail reception on Thursday, May 27, at Essex County Country Club in West Orange.
The event helps raise awareness and funding in support of the more than 350,000 New Jersey Alzheimer's disease individuals and families we serve.
The courses that are included as prizes are considered "the best of the best" because of their history, excellence of design, or quality of course conditions. Among the featured golf courses are Baltusrol Golf Club, Trump National Golf Club, Canoe Brook Country Club, Alpine Country Club, Hamilton Farm Golf Club, and a Pebble Beach Resorts package for two.
The prizes include a round of golf, golf carts or caddies, and lunch for the winner and two additional guests. Tickets are $100, and anyone over the age of 18 may buy or sell tickets. According to the IRS, raffle tickets are not tax deductible. The Raffle Drawing Sponsors are Bankers Life and Casualty Company and Investors Savings Bank, and the Fairway Sponsor is The Provident Bank.
