TUCSON, Ariz. -- Dust off your putters and get ready to make a true impact on the education of children across Tucson! Join La Paloma Academy for the 3rd Annual Raising Funds 4 Raising Kids Golf Classic on Saturday, March 20. Tee it up for the kids and help La Paloma Academy raise the funds needed to purchase a new computer lab.
The third annual golf classic will be held at Forty Niner Country Club, 12000 East Tanque Verde Rd. This year, La Paloma Academy is excited to host many exciting celebrity guests supporting their cause. Joining golfers on the greens will be Tucson Mayor Bob Walkup, local KRQQ radio personality Obi Wankanobi, and Tucson's own Fire Chief, Patrick Kelly.
The 2010 Raising Funds for Raising Kids Golf Classic will support an important cause - bringing technology into the classroom. In an increasingly technological society, computers have become a critical component in expanding the way our students are able to learn and explore the world. Proceeds from the tournament will go directly towards the purchase of a new computer lab for both La Paloma's Lakeside and Central campuses, allowing more students to use the computers at any given time.
Registration for the tournament begins at 7am. Entry is $90 per player or $350 for a golf foursome. This fee includes greens fee, cart, range balls, lunch, a La Paloma Academy polo shirt and a raffle ticket. The format is a four-man scramble - pick your own team, three drives per person.
After finishing on the greens, enjoy lunch, a raffle and a silent auction. Prizes include a University of Arizona signed basketball, Arizona Cardinals signed football, signed Arizona Diamondback photos, two Lexus Club seats for a Phoenix Suns game, a Samurai Yoyo and more! View the growing list of items at www.lpatucson.org.
La Paloma Academy is a 501(c)(3) organization, so your generous donations are tax deductible. Please register by March 13 at www.lpatucson.org and click on the Raising Funds 4 Raising Kids link. See you on the greens!
