The family and friends of PGA Member and Noted Teaching Professional Dean Hedstrom announce the Dean Hedstrom Foundation for Melanoma Awareness! Dean lost a two year battle with Stage IV Melanoma in April of 2009. His dream was to help those with the disease, but especially to educate younger golfers about the prevention and awareness of the dangerous effects of the sun. Each year, 60,000 people are diagnosed with Melanoma and over 8,000 of them will die. The Foundation's goals are to create awareness programs with juniors and to support Melanoma research.

Our 1st Annual Dean Hedstrom Foundation for Melanoma Awareness Pro-Am Golf Tournament will be held May 2, 2010 at the prestigious Belleair Country Club in Belleair, Fl. We welcome your participation and support.
