As the country's top PGA professionals gathered for their 39th national
championship at Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y., the momentum and
unmatched success of Titleist across every major equipment category was
evident once again. From golf balls to drivers, irons, wedges and putters,
more players made Titleist their top choice in equipment at the 2006 PGA
Professional National Championship than any other.
Not only were more players relying upon Titleist equipment with
overwhelming success at the showcase event for PGA professionals, Ron
Philo, Jr. was winning with it. The head golf professional at the
Metropolis Country Club in White Plains, N.Y., Philo relied on the Pro V1x
golf ball and a bag full of Titleist golf clubs to win in a sudden-death
playoff. His set composition included the Pro Titanium 905S driver (9.5),
Pro Trajectory prototype fairway metal (14.0), Forged 670 irons (4-P), a
Forged 704.CB 3-iron, Vokey Design sand wedge (54) and Spin Milled lob (60)
wedge, and a Scotty Cameron by Titleist Studio Design putter.
