Kodak Challenge hole #14 at Torrey Pines puts pros to the test

The par 4 435-yard Kodak Challenge hole #14 at Torrey Pines gave the pros all they could handle this past week at the Farmers Insurance Open. 2009 U.S. Open champ, Lucas Glover was among six golfers to birdie #14 and join the Kodak Challenge leaders at 2-under-par.

Chad Collins sunk a 37-foot putt for birdie during the final round of the Farmers Insurance Open to join the leaders of the Kodak Challenge. Collins' birdie was one of only 9 scored on the Kodak Challenge hole during Sunday's play at Torrey Pines South Course in La Jolla, CA.

Collins' putt was not the longest Kodak Challenge birdie of the day, as Chris Crouch dropped a 38-footer for birdie on hole #14. Brandt Snedeker had the shortest Kodak Challenge birdie of the day after his second shot left him with just 3 feet from the cup. Snedeker finished tied for second at the Farmers Insurance Open behind winner, Ben Crane. Crane played the Kodak Challenge hole at par during the tournament and remains one-shot off the lead at 1-under-par.

Collins was one of six pros to join the Kodak Challenge lead at 2-under-par during the Farmers Insurance Open. 2009 U.S. Open champ, Lucas Glover chipped in for birdie from 65 yards on Saturday to join Collins in the Kodak Challenge lead. 12 pros are currently tied for the Kodak Challenge lead.

During Sunday's round, 9 birdies, 46 pars, 21 bogies and 2 double bogies were recorded. The pros carded twice as many bogies (67) as birdies (33) on #14 this week, as the Kodak Challenge hole was the 6th hardest at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Hole #14 at the Torrey Pines South Course at the Farmers Insurance Open was the 3rd of 30 Kodak Challenge holes of the 2010 PGA TOUR season. The next Kodak Challenge hole is the par 4 315-yard #10 at the Northern Trust Open on February 4-7 at Riviera Country Club in Palisades, CA.
