FLORENCE, N.J. -- Tex-Net, Inc. expands its service, teaming up with McScot Golf, Inc. to offer lighting design and construction for driving ranges and golf course applications. Tom McClurg, president of McScot Golf, Inc. has designed over 100 driving range and golf course lighting systems throughout the USA, and designed a unique golf driving range lighting system in conjunction with the PGA Tour for use at PGA Tour Golf Centers throughout USA.
McClurg has been a long-time partner of Tex-Net and has completed over 100 golf related netting installations on behalf of the company. His career highlights include designing over 50 stand-alone driving ranges throughout the USA, and designing and building the "Best new range in America," for Golf Digest.
"Stand-alone golf ranges do anywhere from 60 to 70 percent of their business after 5 p.m., and lighting can help add significant revenue for evening range operations," said McClurg. "To evaluate a lighting project, the main elements that we review with each customer include the lighting performance required, the lighting fixtures, mounting structures (berm and pole) as well as the electrical system.
"Once we have carefully evaluated all of these elements, we make a feasible proposal that best enhances a given project," he explained. "Not only does our design increase lighting efficiency but also reduces electricity requirements," McClurg added.
