CARLSBAD, Calif. -- Cobra Golf staff professional Jeong Jang,
the defending Women's British Open champion, found the winners' circle once
again, capturing the Wegmans LPGA by one shot. Jang put herself in
position for her second career victory with a third round 6-under 66 and
then closed with a 2-under 70 to finish at 13-under 275. Her clutch
performance down the stretch included hitting the flagstick on the 17th
hole for a tap-in birdie.
Jang's victory makes it back-to-back to wins on the worldwide professional
tours for Cobra Staff professionals. Jang follows Geoff Ogilvy's major
victory at the U.S. Open last week. Like Ogilvy, Jang recently put the new
King Cobra X/Speed driver in her bag and found immediate winning results.
She was among the leaders in driving accuracy, splitting 75 percent of the
fairways at Locust Hill.
In addition to the King Cobra X/Speed driver (8.5), Jang carries a pair of
King Cobra Baffler Utility metals (20 and 23 degrees) and King Cobra
3100/IH irons (5-P).
