OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Bushnell Outdoor Products today revealed the results of a recent Darrell Survey report which found 90% of players on the Champions Tour using electronic measuring devices use a Bushnell laser rangefinder to calculate distances during practice rounds.
Combined with other recent Darrell Survey reports which found that 95% and 96% of PGA and LPGA professionals use Bushnell devices respectively, these findings further validate the company’s claim as the number one rangefinder in professional golf. Bushnell products represent a cumulative 93% of devices on Tour.
“The USGA’s decision to legalize rangefinders has been an incredible springboard for the company and the recent Darrell Survey findings are creating even more momentum for what will be a record- setting year for us,” said Bushnell President Joe Messner.
Regarded as the golf industry’s official equipment tracking authority, the Darrell Survey Company conducted its report during the Allianz Championship at Glen Oaks County Club in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Leading the charge has been the Bushnell PinSeeker 1500 Tournament edition, a device that employs a unique selective targeting mode, allowing the user to quickly and easily acquire the distance to any object on the course with or without reflectors. The “PinSeeker” technology overcomes the challenge of inadvertently shooting background objects by locking onto a target to provide accurate distances.
Unlike other products, the Bushnell laser rangefinders are ready for use right out of the box and capable of accurately measuring distances to objects, over hazards, distance to the bend in a dogleg or to a bunker with a simple aim and click.
