William K. Wolfrum: Socceroos advance, Ogilvy wins U.S. Open and Wolfrum's a genius

Here at Narcissism Central, we like to cover a variety of subjects. Most of these subjects, of course, involve either ourselves, or our fellow bloggers and involve golf generally only out of happenstance.

So we get Chris Baldwin blogging about Ron Mon, while Brandon Tucker blogs about Chris Baldwin blogging about Ron Mon. Or we get Tim McDonald -- in his official role of Travelgolf.com blogging Obi Wan -- scolding Golf for Beginners and Shanks for random infractions.

Then there's the fact that it's starting to appear that Baldwin and Tucker have both declared jihad on ever actually writing about travel, golf or even .com again. Seriously, it's been a sad display lately of showboating, ego-stroking and mob mentality. And in the end, it misses out on the most important part of all of this:

I'm better than everyone here. Except Kiel Christianson. That dude has Godblood in him. Like Achilles.

But aside from Kiel, I lap the field around here, and continually pull out the goods to prove it. Then I put the goods back in, and write insightful commentary like the now-legendary column I wrote for WorldGolf.com Magazine titled: "Australians' perfection means U.S. Open, and World Cup triumphs are ahead"

In this article, I used my fine-tuned sports prognostication abilities to make an amazing prediction. Australians, in all their glory, would both advance in the World Cup, while one of their number won the U.S. Open.

First, after Phil Mickelson did his best impression of a small-throated woman at a meatball-eating contest, Australian Geoff Ogilvy continued his land's domination of the 2006 season winning the U.S. Open at Winged Foot.

Then, the Socceroos went out and tied Croatia, finishing a superb three-game run by the Aussies, as they miraculously advance to the Round of 16 of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. As foretold by your humble servant.

My skillz. They are mad.

So folks, while I in no way claim to be Australian or Kiel Christianson, once again I have proven to be head and shoulders above the field around here. I can out-narcissism them any day.
