Golf professional Mark Officer who is the owner of golf training aids manufacturing and distribution company Perfectstroke has recently joined the SAM Puttlab sales team. Officer has been a professional since 1986. He has a background as a playing professional on tour as well as experience in teaching all levels of players. He has also been involved in the development and managing of international golf schools in his homeland Australia.

What is SAM PuttLab?
The SAM PuttLab is a putting analysis system that uses ultrasound to measure and evaluate up to 28 parameters of the putting stroke. The unit was developed by Dr. Christian Marquardt a German Scientist who is also the founder of the company. The system is used by leading academies worldwide as well as by top players on all the major tours. Officer and the SAM Puttlab first came into contact in 2005 shortly after the PGA Merchandise Show that both parties were attending as exhibitors. At that time, Mark Officer had developed the Perfectstroke Putting Aid as well as a number of other golf training aids including the Clubface Assistant and he became interested in the SAM system as it proved that his putting aid was the most technically correct putting training system available. "The first time I saw the SAM Puttlab I knew that it would verify and prove what I feel is the proper putting stroke." Officer stated.

The SAM Puttlab analysis system proves that what players feel like they do in their stroke and what they actually do are two different things. "There can be a big difference in feel and real" Officer says. "The players that feel like they go straight back and through will usually still be swinging on an arc with face rotation and the players that feel like they are using a gating stroke will usually be over rotating the putterface with varying stroke path". The SAM system used in conjunction with the Perfectstroke products can help to provide feedback in regards to what is actually square at address and impact, what an on plane and correct stroke path feels like and looks like and what is square in relation to path.
