LAURINBURG, N.C. -- Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced that, according to Darrell Survey results, 52 out of the 63 golfers (83 percent) who completed all four rounds at the 106th U.S. Open, played June 15—18 in Mamaroneck, N.Y., used Golf Pride® grips.
Winged Foot, arguably the most difficult U.S. Open course setup in history, provided a true test for players both physically and mentally. With such a prestigious prize at stake, eight out of the top 10 finishers, according to Darrell Survey results, turned to Golf Pride® grips to combat the demanding venue.
Among the 63 finishers on Sunday, more than half (33 players) chose the most used grip in golf—the Golf Pride Tour Velvet®—for the majority of their clubs. The Golf Pride Tour Velvet® grip is designed with a non-slip surface pattern giving players maximum playability, comfort and confidence.
