SPRINGFIELD, Va. -- The first-ever SemperComm Golf Classic tournament will be Friday, Sept. 15, at the Fort Belvoir Country Club in Alexandria, VA. The tournament will help raise needed funds for the SemperComm Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization that provides communication and entertainment equipment, software and services to overseas remote U.S. military bases.
The golf tournament is a four-person scramble with a 2 p.m. shotgun start. Registration starts at 12:30 p.m., and dinner will be served starting at 6:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded, including a grand prize for the winning foursome from one of the tournament co-sponsors, American Airlines, of four round-trip tickets to anywhere in the continental United States plus a hotel package.
Event tickets are available; a foursome costs $450, while individuals may enter for $125.
