Pinehurst-area Donald Ross jewel hosts Carolina Cup. Mid Pines presents both a golf history lesson and a fair, challenging test of golf.
Mid Pines was first opened in 1921. The golf course has been meticulously restored and maintained to present one of the best Donald Ross golf experiences available anywhere. The golf course is an easy to walk layout that will host junior golfers from across the southeast on December 5-6, 2009. The facility is no stranger to world, national, state, regional and local championships. The history of American Golf is on display throughout the facility. From the clubhouse to the locker rooms and along every hole players are exposed to early American golf as envisioned by one of the greatest golf course designers of all time.
