STUART, Fla. -- Teresa Zamboni, one of the nation's top 50 LPGA teaching professionals and a partner of Ladies Links Fore Golf, LLC, of Stuart, FL, recently won the LPGA Southeast Section Team Championship. The tournament was held on October 24-25 at the Squire Course at PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Zamboni teamed with fellow professional Annette DeLuca to shoot 72-68 for a two-day total of 4-under-par 140. This is the second year that the duo has won the prestigious team tournament.
The pair was tied for the lead after the first day of competition with LPGA Tour Hall of Fame member Joanne Carner and teammate Maria Marino.
"To be able to compete at the highest level and to be successful is especially rewarding," said Zamboni. "It is nice to be able to practice what I preach to my students."
A resident of Port Orange, FL, Zamboni teaches at both Crane Lakes Golf Club and Indigo Lakes Golf Club. She joined the LPGA Teaching & Club Professionals (T&CP) in 1994 and in 2007 she achieved the LPGA's highest honor when she was selected as the LPGA National Teacher of the Year, which recognizes the top teacher in the nation.
