I agree completely with Bill Wolfrum's blog about Canada. Canada is like that big, lumbering oaf you can't help but like, and I mean that in a good way. I just got back from playing 10 days of golf in Canada, and the best part was the company. Almost every day, I was teamed up with Canadians, not surprisingly, and I spent a great deal of time chuckling and some considerable time guffawing. They're some of the least self-conscious people I've met.

I've played with a lot of Canadians in Myrtle Beach – you can always spot them because of their preternaturally white legs – but here I was in their home lair. They were unfailingly nice and welcoming and they seem to have more sheer fun on the golf course than any other nationality I've played with, and I've played from Alaska to the Caribbean to Italy, Africa and Ireland and Scotland. This was especially noticeable considering how the Oilers are doing in the Stanley Cup.

I was mainly in the London, Ontario region, and they have some fine courses there. Look for a series of reviews and features coming soon...
