The Littlest Golfer, Inc. would like to congratulate tournament founder Gavin Fitzgerald, age 9, and all the children who participated in the second Kids Fore Kids Golf Tournament on September 12, 2009 at the Winter Park Country Club in Winter Park, Florida.
This year's tournament consisted of 33 players, ages ranging from 4 to 14, in teams of four in a 9-hole "best ball" scramble.
The children were cheered on by family and friends, including Gavin's parents and tournament organizers Sondra and Cody Fitzgerald; PGA golf professional, WPCC Head Pro and co-organizer Brendon Elliott; and PGA Tour player Bart Bryant.
Florida State Senator Gary Siplin was also on hand to support the tournament and his son who was a participant.
The Littlest Golfer was honored to be a tournament Silver Sponsor and sponsor for 4-year-old golfer Lexie Elliott. The company also provided Gavin Fitzgerald with a performance shirt for the big day.
To date, the Kids Fore Kids Foundation has raised more than $10,000 for children's charities including the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies.
Tournament donations are still being collected. If you would like more information about how you can support children helping children, please visit the Kids Fore Kids Foundation website at www.kidsforekids.org.
