The Nicklaus Academy at DragonRidge will host an open house on October 15th, 2009 featuring the new FreeMotion™ Fitness Vertex Whole Body Vibration technology and Tim Church, a highly regarded personal trainer to a number of PGA Tour players and a national presenter for FreeMotion Fitness.
Through testing conducted with researchers from A.T. Still University, Nicklaus Academies has confirmed WBV training is ideal for increasing students' flexibility and range of motion in less time and in a non-evasive manner. Participants in the WBV testing sessions had documented increases in club head and ball speed, as well as increases in carry and total distance, and as a bonus, when WBV is used at the end of a lesson or round of golf, the student's experience less stiffness and soreness as the result.
Additional Benefits of Whole Body Vibration Training:
• Time-efficient workout
• High muscle activation with less fatigue
• Boost metabolism and burn calories
• Build core strength, stability and balance
• Improve muscle mass and tone
• Decrease Cortisol (stress hormone)
• Increases testosterone and growth hormone levels
• Easy on the joints
• Increase joint mobility
• Facilitates blood circulation
• Helps to increase bone density to combat osteoporosis
The open house and demonstration will be held at the Nicklaus Academy at DragonRidge Country Club in Henderson from 12:00 noon to 7 PM on Thursday, October 15th. The open house is open to the public. Tim Church will take attendees through a quick and simple warm-up program designed specifically for golf movement patterns. Tim will also be available to answer other questions related to the benefits and uses of WBV. Special pricing on the Vertex Whole Body Vibration unit will be offered for attendees.
