Third annual Future Leaders Forum at Walt Disney World Resort

Fifty hopeful future leaders of the golf industry are "going to Disney World."

The third annual Future Leaders Forum will take place Nov. 12-15 at the Walt Disney World Resort. The students will attend three days of practical training about golf course management, tournament hosting and hospitality. The Future Leaders Training Forum is presented in partnership between the Toro Co., Walt Disney World Resort and the First Tee.

The students were selected based on an essay competition and application process. Nominees submitted a 200-word essay about their career aspirations and post-high school plans; a list of school and volunteer activities; and a letter of recommendation. The 50 participants are from all over the U.S., from New York to California.

"For three years, this program has impacted the lives of young people," Mike Hoffman, chairman and CEO of the Toro Co., said. "It has opened up possibilities they never knew existed, and connected them with leaders in a variety of industries and professions within and outside of golf."

The three day forum on the sport, business and science of golf will feature presentations from the Disney Institute, the PGA of America and PGA Tour Operations, along with a behind-the-scenes look at the PGA Tour's Children's Miracle Network Classic.
