BOULDER, Colo. -- Twelve CEO golfers from the USA will take on twelve CEOs from Canada and twelve from Mexico to see which country has the best CEO golfers in North America. And from this tournament, the top CEO golfers from each country will move on the World CEO Golf Challenge Championship and vie for the title of ‘Best CEO Golfer in the World’!
CEO Challenge LLC is pleased to announce the CEO Golf Challenge Summit Series presented by FORBES.com scheduled for Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas on September 21-24, 2006. Twelve CEO’s from each of the three countries will play in a two-day 36 hole stroke play format tournament and one country will come out the winner and take the title of the CEO Golf Challenge Summit Series Champions. From this tournament, the best five players from each country will receive an invitation to the CEO Golf Challenge World Championship in October 2006 at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club where one player will be crowned the Best CEO Golfer in the World.
“It’s very exciting for us to launch the Summit Series,” stated Joanne Noble, President of CEO Golf Challenge. “Everyone loves the opportunity to represent their country, and we all know how competitive CEOs are. It will be a lot of fun to watch how these high profile executives react under pressure trying to sink those four foot putts to win for their country.”
Noble continues, “Plans are in place to quickly expand the program, as there has been strong interest from other countries such as Korea, Chile, Brazil, Argentina and UK. The intent is to host a CEO Golf Challenge Summit Series in a number of different countries, with the best golfers from each region moving on to the World CEO Golf Challenge Championship.”
This inaugural event will take place at the very prestigious Briggs Ranch Golf Club located in beautiful San Antonio, Texas. This exclusive gated community is highlighted by a Tom Fazio signature masterpiece, and was recently ranked by Golfweek Magazine as #39 on the America’s best modern courses list.
The event will be organized by CEO Challenge LLC, the worldwide leaders in sport competitions for CEOs, with six years experience putting on high level events specifically targeted to business leaders. Tom Relf, the Director of Instruction for Briggs Ranch and golf coach Mexico’s national team will serve as co-host of the event and tournament director.
