Balls Out Blog: Hawaiian teen qualifies for the U.S. Open!!!!! Media goes wild

As I'm SURE you've read by now, 15-year-old Tadd Fujikawa qualified for the U.S. Open yesterday. And you skeptics said a teen Hawaiian phenom had no chance!

By the way, here is the actual transcript of an instant messenger conversation I just had with a friend (only the name was changed to protect the innocent):

Mark Nessmith: did you hear that a teenage KID from Hawaii qualified for the U.S. Open!?
John Doe: no shit? good for her.
John Doe: i eagerly await baldwin's apoplectic blog.
Mark Nessmith: Her!?
Mark Nessmith: I'm talking about Tadd Fujikawa, the 15-year-old freshman at Moanalua High School.
John Doe: we're not talking about wie?
Mark Nessmith: Wie bit the dust.
John Doe: oh. never heard of him.
Mark Nessmith: Ironic, isn't it?
John Doe: indeed.
