Par-Fore-the-Cause Pro-Am Golf Tournament at Sevillano Links

CORNING, Calif. -- If golf is your game, mark your calendar for the Par Fore the Cause Pro-Am Golf Tournament slated for October 11-12, 2009 at the nationally ranked Sevillano Links, a John Daly Signature Course at Rolling Hills Casino in Corning, CA (located on I-5, 90-minutes north of Sacramento).

PGA club pros along with amateur team partners will tee it up in a tournament that benefits Mercy Foundation North and helps support St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in its efforts to provide quality cardiac care to patients in need. "We are extremely enthused about hosting this event," stated Kate Grissom, event chair and director of marketing for Rolling Hills Casino & Resort. "Our plan is to provide an exceptional experience for players, both on-and-off the course, a day that will be highly eventful while also supporting a worthy community cause."

The event kicks off in the late afternoon of Sunday, October 11 with a spirited "Horserace competition" on the links-style course, and where $2000 worth of prizes will be distributed to winners. Those arriving early on Sunday can relax in the casino and/or clubhouse, and then participate in the Horserace event, followed by a no-host cocktail hour at 7 p.m. while enjoying an outdoor viewing of the infamous movie - Caddy Shack, courtesy of Enjoy Movies in the Park and in support of Par Fore the Cause. On Monday, October 12 the tournament day will commence at 8:00 a.m. with registration and a hearty breakfast followed by a 9:00 a.m. shot-gun start. A barbeque lunch will be served on course amongst a variety of vendor booths with giveaways, plus contests, too. "For this inaugural pro-am we anticipate PGA golf professionals and their amateur team partners traveling in from various courses throughout the state," stated PGA General Manager Brian Dahmer. "Sevillano Links has developed a reputation as a course that provides both excitement and enjoyment, traits well-fitting for a pleasurable pro-am experience."

This modified-scramble event will culminate with an awards banquet, scrumptious dinner and on-site entertainment in Carlino's Event Center at Rolling Hills Casino. The event will be a memory-maker, since each participant will receive a Nikon L-16 Coolpix Camera valued at $175.

Sponsorship opportunities are available: Birdie Level Sponsor at $1000 to Hero Level Sponsor at $5000. Team entry fee for 3 players is $555. Checks should be made payable to: Mercy Foundation North at 2400 Washington Ave. Suite 410 Redding, CA 96001.
