Kodak Challenge competes at WGC and Reno-Tahoe simultaneously

For the first time this year, the Kodak Challenge was underway at two tournaments simultaneously; hole #16 at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron, OH and hole #16 at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open at Montreux Golf and Country Club in Reno, NV.

Gore & Henry Take Advantage of Kodak Challenge hole #16 at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open

Steve Lowery and Brendon de Jonge were the only Kodak Challengers to card birdies on the difficult par 3 183-yard Kodak Challenge hole #16 at the legends Reno-Tahoe Open. Lowery moved to 9-under-par and two shots off the lead. Jason Gore and J.J. Henry were the big Kodak Challenge movers at Montreux Golf and Country Club this weekend. Each birdied the #16 twice and moved into a tie at 10-under-par and one shot off the lead.

Woods Provides Excitement at Kodak Challenge hole #16 at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational

Tiger Woods' dramatic final day birdie on the 667-yard Kodak Challenge hole #16 propelled him past a struggling Padraig Harrington to win the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. Scott Verplank moved to one-shot off the Kodak Challenge lead with an early round birdie, as the pros battled one of the longest holes on PGA TOUR at Firestone Country Club. Lucas Glover, Zach Johnson and Justin Leonard all birdied hole #16 to move up the Kodak Challenge leaderboard. Kodak Challenge leader, Nathan Green played #16 at par to remain tied for the lead at 11-under par.

The Kodak Challenge continues on August 17 at hole # 15 at the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, NC.

The Kodak Challenge is a first-of-its-kind competition for PGA TOUR players and fans and celebrates beautiful holes and memorable moments on the PGA TOUR. All players can compete, and all they have to do is play. Players must play at least 18 of the 30 Kodak Challenge holes to be eligible to win. A player's lowest score relative to par on his best 18 Kodak Challenge holes will be counted.
