FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- An Indiana inventor and avid golfer has developed a breakthrough in golf equipment which makes the game of golf easier to play. After 5 years of testing, the invention is now available to the public.
Inventor and president of Dominant Golf, Mike Kachlik of Warsaw Indiana has developed a patent-pending golf grip which replaces standard golf grips and can be used on virtually any golf club in the bag. The grips, which are available in 3 sizes, conform to all USGA rules for golf equipment. The breakthrough came after 5 years and over 15,000 hours of testing with golfers of all skill levels. Golfers are attaining an immediate improvement in both accuracy and distance.
The revolutionary grips help eliminate many of the problems associated with the golf swing caused by improper gripping of the club and the resulting loss of control. The 3 sizes of "super-oversized" JumboMax™ golf grips are designed to fit the anatomy of the human hand in a way that feels completely natural and allows golfers to grip the club so that the hands function correctly and efficiently, promoting better control and longer, straighter golf shots with much less effort.
A BIt of the History
When the great game of golf was in its infancy, the builders of early clubs found wood to be the ideal material out of which to make the club shafts. A shaft which had the desired amount of flexibility was constructed and was attached to the club head. Then, a thin layer of cloth and leather was wrapped around the shaft to form the grip. The resulting grip size was too small in diameter to be easily controlled, so golfers were forced to adapt their grasp on the club.
Over the years, many methods of grasping the club were tried. Though still an adaptation, the overlapping or "Vardon" method eventually evolved as the favorite. The first thing a golfer must overcome when learning the game, is how to gain control of this too-small object. Many never overcome this hurdle, or feel completely comfortable with it and the result is the never-ending frustration of inconsistent shots, or worse, eventually giving up on what should be an otherwise enjoyable game.
Enter inventor Mike Kachlik, who questioned the logic of following this line of thinking. Mike created a golf grip which fits the size and shape of the human hand beautifully, then designed it to fit on a modern golf club shaft. The result is the JumboMax™ Golf Grip, which by itself does not claim to make golf an easy game, but an easier game, bringing good shot-making into the realm of possibility for the non-professional golfer and enjoyment and fulfillment back to the game.
