Find junior golfer rates at local venues on PlayGolfAmerica.com

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- Junior golfers nationwide can now find facilities offering junior rates in their area that support additional playing opportunities as part of Family Golf Month.

The search engine, located at PlayGolfAmerica.com, enables juniors to view a list of facilities that offer special junior rates for greens fees at participating facilities in their local area. Juniors can access the list by clicking on the Search Junior Rates link, under Featured Programs, on the PlayGolfAmerica.com homepage. The facilities listed are part of a network dedicated to support developing players to match the right golf course based upon their location, budget and skill level. Facilities can promote their junior golf rates on PlayGolfAmerica.com by completing an application on the PlayGolfAmerica Junior Web page.

Junior rates serve as another opportunity under the Play Golf America Family Golf Month umbrella. Family Golf Month provides a structured, yet casual, opportunity for families to learn the game of golf and spend uninterrupted quality time together. Every family member-young and old-can participate and receive the benefits a round of golf provides, including fresh air and beautiful outdoor scenery as well as a healthy dose of exercise.

"There is no need to travel far from home this year to enjoy your vacation, when affordable summer fun is right around the corner at your local golf course during Family Golf Month," said PGA of America President Jim Remy.

Nationwide, approximately 1,000 golf courses have registered to host Family Golf Month programs, with over 2,000 unique family golf opportunities currently listed on PlayGolfAmerica.com.

Play Golf America, designed to increase participation among new and occasional adult golfers, was developed by The PGA of America, with the support of Allied Associations including: the LPGA, National Golf Course Owners Association, PGA Tour, USGA and others involved in the annual Golf 20/20 Conference. The program utilizes the PlayGolfAmerica.com Web site to serve as a link for consumers to access fun, affordable and informative programs in their area.
