Inside Golf Magazine TV enjoys increase in viewership via video

As the national television program Inside Golf Magazine enters the second half of the golf season, Action Television reports that the first half of the series has generated a solid golf audience. Based on Nielson ratings for the first four episode that began back in April, the TV audience has average over half a million viewers for each episode of the series.

In addition, golf video segments from the series are distributed through Inside GOLF Magazine and Golf Life branded video channels across the internet. This web video distribution has netted over 300,000 additional trackable video views on GOLF.com, I-Tunes, Youtube and many other online video search engines and video portals.

"One of the really interesting things we are seeing is just how good the online video is doing in terms of search optimization and viewership. While we know through ratings and online viewer stats that a lot of golfers enjoy our video content, we have been surprised just how quickly our video segments jump to the top of Google, Yahoo and other video search engines. Most people might not realize that Youtube.com is now the 2nd leading website for search, overtaking Yahoo. This means video is very important to successful online marketing. We have consistently been able to lead search with videos we produced for golf companies, resorts and golf academies." noted Michael Billingsley, Executive Producer of Inside GOLF Magazine.

The program Inside GOLF Magazine is the evolution of a golf television series named Golf Life that has been airing on TV and the Internet for over 12 years. Through a partnership with GOLF Magazine and GOLF.com, the largest media brand and most visited website in golf, the television series has gained access to GOLF Magazines editorial strength.

Producer Tom Eberts of Action Television in Denver Colorado adds, "Our relationship with David Clarke and the editorial team at GOLF Magazine including the Top 100 teachers has really paid off in terms of the video we are producing now. This season we have been out on the PGA Tour working with top players and integrating them in to equipment reviews, instructional golf features and even resort highlights. I think this provides unique content by including top PGA pros into video that is important to our golf viewers."

Those interested in watching video from Inside GOLF Magazine can tune in to their regional FSN or Comcast Sports Network channel for air times. A listing of all airings across the US to 97 million households is available online at http://www.insidegolfmagazine.com/Inside_Golf/schedule.html. Video of the series is available online at GOLF.com TV and at http://www.insidegolfmagazine.com.
