4th Annual Jamaica Invitational Pro-Am announces '09 schedule

ROSE HALL, Jamaica -- The Jamaica Tourist Board is proud to announce partnerships with Nike Golf and The Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, Rose Hall, Jamaica for the 4th Annual Jamaica Invitational Pro-Am "Annie's Revenge" presented by Nike Golf. The tournament, which will be held December 2-6, 2009, will feature Pro-Am, teams from the U.S., Canada, Europe and the Caribbean competing for exciting team prizes and a $15,000 purse for the professionals. Last year, Medinah Country Club from Chicago captured the team championship and Dan Wilkins, Director of Golf at Laconia CC in New Hampshire, posted the low total score in the professional division.

"Annie's Revenge has firmly established itself as Jamaica's premier golf event, attracting avid private club players who are also discerning golf travelers," said Donnie Dawson, the Jamaica Tourist Board's Deputy Director of Tourism for the Americas, "with the support of our partners, we're able to show attendees first-hand why Jamaica is a world-class golf and vacation destination.

Tournament players will compete on two of Jamaica's best golf courses, Cinnamon Hill and White Witch. Cinnamon Hill Golf Course wraps itself around lush green mountains before it reaches down to the Caribbean Sea. Winding through the mountains of Jamaica's historic 5,000-acre Rose Hall Plantation, The White Witch Golf Course is carved out of 600 acres of lush greenery and rolling countryside that features panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea from 16 of its 18 holes!

Nike Golf, presenting sponsor of the event for the second year in a row, will be showcasing their latest products through branded gift bags, interactive sampling programs, on-course contests and participant prizes. Greg Moore, Central Regional Sales Manager said, "My experience at Nike Golf has taken me to some of the best golf destinations in the world, but what really sets the Jamaica Pro-Am apart is the attention to detail of the tournament staff and the incredible level of hospitality and the natural friendliness of the people on the Island."

All players and guests will enjoy the warm hospitality and world-renowned service of The Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, Rose Hall, Jamaica's only AAA Five Diamond Resort, which will proudly serve as the event's Host Resort for 2009 and 2010.
