Kodak Challenge witnesses its first hole-in-one by Dean Wilson

The Kodak Challenge hole #13 at Colonial Country Club brought out the best in the pros this week at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. On Thursday, Kodak Challenge play got off to a hot start thanks to Dean Wilson's hole-in-one—the first ace of the Kodak Challenge season. Kevin Streelman, Stephen Ames and Scott Verplank followed with birdies on Thursday to join Wilson in a move up to second. Verplank's mastery of the tricky par three continued all weekend, as he birdied the Kodak Challenge hole three of the four days. On Saturday, Crowne Plaza Invitational co-runner-up Steve Marino nearly matched Wilson's ace. His tap-in birdie on #13 moved him into third. On Sunday, Zach Johnson grabbed a share of second place with a birdie on a day when the Kodak Challenge hole yielded few breaks. Chris DiMarco played #13 at even par throughout the week to keep the top position on the Kodak Challenge leaderboard. Steve Stricker, who moved into fourth place with a birdie on the Kodak Challenge hole Friday, won the Crowne Plaza Invitational in a thrilling two-hole playoff with Steve Marino and Tim Clark. The Kodak Challenge returns on June 11 at the Stanford St. Jude Championship in Memphis, TN.
