CERRITOS, Calif. -- Daiwa Golf Company (USA) announced that Daiwa Seiko, Inc., Japan, has made a multi-year contract on OnOff clubs and accessories with Mr. Shingo Katayama, a 26-time tournament winner.

Mr. Katayama said, "I have been putting faith in Daiwa Seiko's technical capabilities as the number one brand of fishing gear and experienced using Daiwa Seiko's shaft as an amateur player at university. I am very pleased to sign a contract with Daiwa Seiko and be able to create a customized golf club. I'm going to do my best." Daiwa will support Mr. Katayama so he can step up to the next stage.

Mr. Katayama won 5 tournaments in 2000 and became the first top money leader position. Since then, he became top money leader for Japan PGA Tour in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2008, giving him the title 5 times. His win in 2008 Japan Open entitled him to one of the 7 permanent seeded players in the Japan PGA Tour. He is also one of the top Japanese male players in the international tours and is fresh off a 4th place finish in the 2009 Masters.
