POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- Pound Ridge Golf Club, Pete Dye's only New York course, has made rate adjustments to give golfers a cost-saving opportunity in light of the current economic conditions. "We want to offer all golfers the chance to play a Pete Dye golf course at a discount rate," said Todd Leavenworth, general manager. "People should still be able to enjoy a top-caliber golf course despite the current economic downturn and we hope our rate reductions will encourage people to play golf at Pound Ridge."

Golfers who book a tee time more than eight days in advance of a scheduled play date will now be able to take advantage of a reduction from the normal season rates. Details can be found at www.poundridgegolf.com. Cancellations now may be made up to 24 hours before a reservation without a penalty.

The special advance reservation rates are:

1) $195.00 up to 3 p.m.
2) $150.00 Twilight rate (3-5 p.m.)
3) $105.00 Super-twilight rate (5 p.m. to close)

Zagat's has called Pound Ridge Golf Club a "phenomenal new course," and notes that the Dye design is both scenic and extremely challenging from every tee box. Dye has built an intriguing layout featuring dominant rock outcroppings, elevation changes, richly contoured fairways, expansive bunkers and gracefully undulating greens. The regular rate at this uniquely exciting daily fee course is $235 per round.
