Champ Stinger spikes on the feet of British Masters champion

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (May 15, 2006) -- After claiming victory at Augusta in April, CHAMP continued to gain momentum last week, as the winner of the Quinn Direct British Masters relied on CHAMP Stinger™ spikes en route to a one stroke win over one of the strongest fields on the European Tour.

CHAMP was the dominant spike choice at this year's British Masters. In fact, 107 out of 158 golfers trusted an offering from the Marlborough, Massachusetts spike manufacturer. The CHAMP Stinger™ was the overwhelming choice of champions. The top three finishers, along with 60 other golfers at the British Masters, trusted the Stinger. Designed with input from thousands of professional and amateur golfers from all over the world, the Stinger features superior traction and a revolutionary visible wear indicator that lets golfers know when it is time to change their spikes. In addition, another 28 golfers trusted Cer-Mec™ metal spikes, 11 wore Hi-Tech spikes, and five used the CHAMP Pro Stinger™.

With this victory, CHAMP now owns four victories on the European Tour and 12 PGA Tour titles in the 2006 season, to go with three victories on the LPGA Tour and three Champions Tour wins.

Last season, 24 winners on the PGA Tour wore CHAMP spikes.
