BALTIMORE, Md. -- STX, world-renowned for its patented Soft Face Insert Technology, announced that the company is pursuing additional sales representatives to contribute to the growth of the brand at retail.
In a time when most companies are cutting their sales force, STX is looking to expand. STX has established sales through a network of inside and outside sales representatives. Both teams are led by National Sales Manager, Mike Murphy. His objective this year is to build upon these existing sales units by adding several new representatives.
According to Murphy, "A critical success factor this year is to hire sales representatives that have worked with a boutique company like STX and have established relationships with key accounts. This criterion should integrate these new associates seamlessly and effortlessly."
This season the sales staff will be equipped with a new line of putters that are demonstratively superior, visually appealing and competitively priced. The first of the new line, the Envision TR, will begin shipping in May. Then in July, the company will introduce two new modern and stylish blade putters that will feature the ProFITâ„¢ system, an innovation exclusively from STX. This technology provides quick adjustments for feel and weighting through interchangeable faces and weights. This capability allows the golfer to control the putter head and speed according to personal preferences and course conditions.
"In addition to new putters and sales programs, STX has the support of several leading PGA Professionals. This exposure will help us with sell-in and sell-through," added Murphy.
About STX: STX is acknowledged as being the golf industry's foremost authority on insert face technology. Over a quarter century ago, the company introduced the first patented elastomer face insert, creating the "softest legal face in golf." In the mid-90s the company's research and development team introduced the first USGA approved interchangeable face insert and removable weight system.
Behind the company's uniquely styled putter heads is Robert "Bob" Engman, STX Putters' Chief Club Designer. A world-renowned sculptor with works in the Hirshhorn Museum, the Whitney Museum and the Museum of Modern Art, Bob is also a three-time senior champion at Merion Golf Club in Philadelphia.
