Rounds4Research auction of tee times benefits turfgrass research

Tee times at some of the Carolinas' finest golf courses will be up for grabs through Rounds4Research, an online auction to benefit turfgrass research at Clemson University and North Carolina State University.

"These universities perform research that protects the health and the future of golf in our region, which delivers an annual economic benefit of $5 billion plus," says Tim Kreger, the programs director for the Carolinas Golf Course Superintendents Association. "Like so much else in today's economic climate, these programs are struggling for funding. Rounds4Research gives the ultimate beneficiary of that research — the golfer — the chance to benefit golf and their game at the same time."

Presented by the Carolinas GCSA and other area golf organizations, the online auction will be held April 19-May 6. Don't miss this opportunity to secure a special Father's Day gift! Successful bidders will secure a foursome at their favored course for a date and time of their choosing. Go online to see a list of available courses, such as Pinehurst No. 2, Harbour Town Golf Links and Sedgefield Country Club. You can also sign up for a reminder e-mail prior to the auction launch.
