Tehama, the line of high-end contemporary sportswear for men and women, has announced the evolution of its Carbon-Tech grouping for women. This technology combines coconut/bamboo carbon and Minerale to offer moisture wicking that keeps the wearer cooler.
Carbon-Tech uses activated carbon from coconut shells and/or bamboo that provides evaporative cooling, odor resistance, static resistance and UV 50 protection. The yarns and fibers are lightweight and promote stretch and washability for the life of the product.
Tehama women's Carbon-Tech grouping for summer 2009 features sporty color-blocked silhouettes, mandarin collars, hidden zipper plackets, cover stitch detail, accent piping and shirring detail.
Minerale, another carbon technology being used in Tehama's fall offering, is derived from minerals originally found in volcanic ash. The Minerale technology brings all the benefits of carbon in a pure white coloring. When combined with Tehama's carbon fabrics, it presents a dynamic and clean eco-tech offering, the company says.
"Carbon-Tech is for the modern woman who demands the ultimate in eco-tech performance combined with great new styles, designs, and colors," says Nancy Haley, CEO of Tehama.
