AUSTIN, Texas -- Barton Creek Resort & Spa has named Roger Goettsch Director of Golf Course Maintenance. In his role, Goettsch will oversee and further enhance the superior level of agronomy for the resort's collection of four championship courses: the famed Fazio Foothills, Fazio Canyons, Crenshaw Cliffside, and Palmer Lakeside. Goettsch will also be in charge of further developing the long-standing relationship with Audubon International to preserve the beauty and splendor of Austin and the Barton Creek environment.

Goettsch, a seasoned golf industry professional, joins Barton Creek following a nearly 10 year stint as Director of Agronomy for leading Houston-based Redstone Companies, home to the Shell Houston Open. In addition, Goettsch is affiliated with several national and regional golf committees and associations, including the USGA Advisory Committee, The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and the Texas Turfgrass Association.
