Chi Chi Rodriguez Academy will benefit from Heroes and Angels

TAMPA, Fla. -- Skyway Capital Partners is pleased to announce the debut of The Night of Heroes and Angels, a new fundraising event created for the benefit of three local charities that serve Tampa Bay area disadvantaged and learning disabled children: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County, The Chi Chi Rodriguez Academy, and Hope Preparatory Academy. The event will take place Saturday, May 2, 2009 from 7 p.m. to midnight at Ferrari of Tampa Bay, 2420 Tampa Road in Palm Harbor.

"In this economy, local charities that provide the educational, social, and mentoring support that disadvantaged and learning disabled children in our community desperately need are fighting for their survival," said Scott Feuer, CEO of Skyway Capital Partners. "Now more than ever, those of us who have the means to support these organizations need to step up and give as much as we can. With the establishment of the Skyway Capital Foundation and the Night of Heroes and Angels, we have joined forces with community leaders and volunteers to help nonprofits delivering mentoring and educational services to Tampa Bay's special needs children when they need it most."

All proceeds from the event including ticket sales, auction items and sponsorships will be donated to the three charities.

An estimated 400 guests at the Night of Heroes and Angels will experience an exciting evening of fine food and wine and live music from two acclaimed local acts. Jazz saxophone sensation Eric Darius and his band will play at 7:30 p.m., and following the live auction, Global Battle of the Bands winners Radio Reset will crank up the energy so guests can continue dancing and having a great time until the party's over.

The highlight of the evening's live auction is the chance to place the winning bid on and drive home a magnificent Ferrari sports car. Ferrari buyers often have to wait months for a car, so the opportunity to leave the showroom with one that night is very rare. Rounding out the live auction offerings are once-in-a-lifetime vacation packages and experiences such as a Ferrari factory tour, a trip to Milan for Fashion Week in Fall 2009, an African safari, an exclusive golf package featuring rounds of golf on two exclusive courses designed by architect Steve Smyers with round trip transportation via private jet provided by BlueStar Jets, and more.

In addition to the live auction, a silent auction and salon will feature unique jewelry, high fashion, art, and other special items for guests to bid on and purchase.
