LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort (The Paiute), an international golf destination composed of three original Pete Dye designed championship courses at one location, announced the key promotion of one department head to General Manager and addition of new Head Pro in accordance with the resort's commitment to maintain its high level of management, customer relations, and golf operations and teaching offering for which it is widely recognized. Food and Beverage Director/Clubhouse Manager Jason Cheney is promoted to General Manager. Former Head Golf Professional from the Falls Golf Club at Lakes Las Vegas and PGA Member, Gregory Brockelman, fulfills The Paiute's Head Golf Professional position.

Newly appointed General Manager, Jason Cheney, who is in his twelfth year with The Paiute, oversees five departments, which comprise a staff totaling over 200 employees. He is responsible for of all fiscal and operational goals on behalf of the three championship courses and 50,000-square-foot clubhouse. Additionally, Cheney serves as the daily Ambassador on behalf of the resort and ensures each guest receives personalized attention. Carrying a long and successful history, he formerly served as the resort's Director of Food and Beverage/ Clubhouse Manager where he supervised a staff of over 50 people, and integrated the food and beverage initiatives into the golfing experience. He effectively co-created special events, both golf and dining, which formed additional successful revenue streams, furthered public relations and secured added exposure of The Paiute.

Holding a degree in Education from Moorhead State University, Cheney, a native of Fargo, North Dakota, began his post-graduate career in the education field before switching to the hospitality industry. Coupled with his history at The Paiute, he brings over 15 years in the management of hospitality entities such as night clubs, resorts and high-end restaurants. Cheney is a member of both the Club Manager's Association of America and the Las Vegas Food & Beverage Director's Association, and also serves on the Board of Directors for Boys Hope Girls Hope of Nevada.

As the new Head Golf Professional, Greg Brockelman - who brings a nearly 20 year history in the golf industry that crosses prominent golf clubs and destinations as far reaching as Westchester Country Club in the State of New York, is a PGA Member, and has resided in Las Vegas for over 15 years - will be the leader of the golf operations department, which incorporates a staff of over 60 people, while serving as an Ambassador on behalf of The Paiute and the golf experience offered. He will be responsible for supervising and managing all golf operations, which integrates additional sub-departments including the Pro Shop, tournaments, player services, and golf instruction. Additionally, finding new and creative ways to offer golf instruction and optimize the retail center of the Pro Shop will be some of his highest priorities.

For six years in his previous position as Head Golf Professional and Clubhouse Manager for The Falls Golf Club at Lake Las Vegas, Brockelman directly supervised a staff of about 30 people and was responsible for P&L management of a multi-million dollar operating budget. He also was instrumental in conducting over 85 tournaments and golf events annually. Prior to this role, he served as the Golf Sales Manager at Reflection Bay Golf Club at Lake Las Vegas for two years and was responsible for all sales and marketing efforts for the brand new facility. He also held positions as Golf Sales Manager with Callaway Golf Center in Las Vegas and as Assistant Golf Professional at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, Ventana Canyon in Tucson, AZ, Alto Lakes Country Club in Alto, NM, Baltimore Country Club in Timonium, MD, and Westchester Country Club in Harrison, NY. Brockelman graduated from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, with a specific focus in Professional Golf Management.
