Tournament Golf Association of America joins with eGolfScore

WASHINGTON, DC. -- Tournament Golf Association of America (TGAA) announced it has reached an agreement with eGolfScore to provide real time scoring for the remainder of the TGAA Tour 2009 season in the Mid-Atlantic region. Terms of the agreement are not being disclosed.

"We are delighted to have the right partner to help us more firmly position TGAA as the premier Pro-Net Tour in the nation," said Dennis M. Baca, President and CEO, TGAA, "eGolfScore is the leader in leveraging the power of digital media, real-time wireless communications in the world of golf for individual golfers as well as corporate, celebrity and charity golf outings across North America and Europe. We are looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership."

Handheld wireless scoring devices, big-screen TV leader boards and Internet broadcasts of TGAA Tour Pro-Net events throughout the Mid-Atlantic comprise eGolfScore's real-time wireless Event Scoring Program (eSP). Combine eGolfScore's traditional eSP offering with highly-targeted promotional opportunities and the tour's sponsors and advertisers benefit from the industry's most unique, highly-differentiated eGolfScore Media Delivery System (eMDS). TGAA will continue to provide tournament management services to corporate, celebrity and charity golf outings but will now offer the added feature of eGolfScore's real time scoring and eMDS.

eGolfScore will provide the support needed to ensure that TGAA members, sponsors, partners and their targeted markets receive the best in products and services offered by eGolfScore. During the remainder of 2009, TGAA will continue servicing the Mid-Atlantic market with a full tournament schedule while offering the added features provided by eGolfScore.

"We are very excited about working with TGAA as the number one Pro-Net tour in the Mid-Atlantic," said Joe Kaplan, Co-Founder and CEO, eGolfScore (SM). "This relationship allows both companies to complement each other's strengths and concentrate on their individual core capabilities. We see this as an incredible opportunity for us to help expand both eGolfScore and TGAA's presence throughout the golf world in growing the game."

"The relationship began at the TGAA Tour event at Dominion Valley CC (an Arnold Palmer designed private club west of Washington DC) on March 28th" says Steve Moses, the tour's Chief Operating Officer. "Every player and guest attending the event thoroughly enjoyed the real-time scoring. Even our less-technically savvy players commented how easy it was to enter their scores and manage the real-time scoring devices. During the round, players were able to see exactly where they stood in relation the rest of the field. As players completed their rounds, they were able to view both the results of those that had finished, as well as those still out on the course, as the leader boards in the clubhouse displayed the real-time results. What was most amazing was that those players who were not able to attend the event, friends of the TGAA tour and family and friends of the players were able to view the event online and watch their favorite player throughout their round. As the competitors watched the real-time results, many received phone calls from family and friends expressing their congratulations or offering sympathies".
