WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Cutting edge apparel designer Basic Golf is donating hundreds of hats and stickers to the Little Linksters children's golf program in Winter Park, Florida.
Run by Winter Park Country Club's head golf professional Brendon Elliott, the Little Linksters program uses fun, non traditional instruction methods to help teach young children the game of golf.
"It's fun and exciting to be teaching kids the fundamentals of golf in a way they can understand and enjoy," said Brendon Elliott. "We've added new sessions in Lake Mary and Deltona Florida and we're really looking forward to adding more."
The Little Linksters program runs 1 hour sessions in six and eight week increments with three different age groups; 3-4 years, 5-8 years and 9-12 years old. Each session is limited to 10 kids per age group.
"We're really excited to help support Brendon and his Little Linksters program," said Basic Golf's President, Ed Lemire. "Introducing kids to golf at a young age is important and seeing the look on their faces when they get a hat and sticker is priceless."
Each of the kids enrolled in the program receives their own hat and sticker and parents receive a special discount on Basic Golf's apparel. So far, Basic Golf has donated hundreds of hats and stickers and plans to continue to support the program throughout the year.
