SALT LAKE CITY -- The Utah PGA Section is joining forces with the Utah Jazz to provide basketball fans with free golf instruction during its Utah Jazz Play Golf America Nights with the Utah PGA Section in March and April.
PGA Professionals from the Utah PGA Section will offer free lessons before and during the game in the main portal of the EnergySolutions Arena. Children, ages 14 years and under, who participate in a free lesson will receive a certificate for a free golf club that can be picked up at the end of the game. Whether a new or seasoned golfer, all participants will be able to enjoy a fun-filled evening of instruction on basic skills such as chipping and putting as well as introduce their children to the game of golf.
"The Utah PGA Section is proud to expand our partnership with the Utah Jazz by introducing basketball fans to the great game of golf," said Devin Dehlin, operations and foundation director for the Utah PGA Section. "We are also excited to put a golf club in the hands of junior golfers who haven't had the opportunity to play in the past. Spring is right around the corner and it will again be time to get out on the greens and fairways across our great state. Stop by the Play Golf America tent for a free tune up and be sure to play more golf in 2009!"
