The Milk Jug distributes funds from McArthur Golf Club event

HOBE SOUND, Fla. -- The Milk Jug, an annual fundraising affair hosted by professional golfer Nick Price, local businessman David Abell, and Peter Lund, the president of McArthur Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Fla., announces they raised over $126,000 during their last event at McArthur Golf Club, and now will be distributing those funds to more than 14 local charities throughout South Florida.

The charities receiving funds to date are Adopt-a-Family, Boys & Girls Club of Martin County, Broken Star Fund, Carol Parker Memorial Scholarship Fund, Dan Marino Foundation, Hearts & Hope, Inc., Ken's Kids, Junior League of the Palm Beaches, Mollie Wilmot Children's Center, Palm Beach Cancer Institute, Palm Beach County Golf Association, Hospice of Palm Beach County, Place of Hope and Taylor Price Special Needs.

Along with Nick Price, a few of the celebrities contributing to The Milk Jug this year were professional football player Dan Marino, baseball pitcher Jim Kaat and Walker Cup captain Buddy Marucci.

The Milk Jug was formed in 2004 amongst 48 individuals who had a common goal to raise funds for Palm Beach County charities whose mandate, services or programs focused on improving the lives and welfare of children within the community. Since its inception, The Milk Jug has distributed over $338,000 to over 32 charities throughout the region.
