Shuswap Region offers golf tourism in British Columbia, Canada

The Shuswap Region has long been known as one of Canada's favorite recreational playgrounds. A new web-based marketing entity, www.GolfShuswap.com, has been created to further build global awareness of golf tourism in the British Columbia interior.

In 2007, the Canoe Creek Golf Course (Salmon Arm, BC) and Talking Rock Golf Course (Chase, BC) opened for play and have been widely applauded by the golfing public. The arrival of these facilities adds depth to the already established championship golf available in the Shuswap Region.

In addition to Talking Rock and Canoe Creek, the Golf Shuswap group includes Hyde Mountain, the Salmon Arm Golf Club and the Shuswap Lake Estates Golf & Country Club. The facilities provide outstanding value for both domestic and international travelers, and are committed to working together to elevate the profile of the Shuswap Region as a premiere Canadian golf destination.

"With five golf courses, we have a real drawing card to the area," said Bill Wilson, Director of Golf at Hyde Mountain. "Now we can offer golfers a package, and when they return, it will not be same package again. We have more variety here now with 5 courses rather than 3 in past years."

Travelers may now visit www.GolfShuswap.com for detailed golf course profiles and sample golf vacation packages. An on line request form is available to obtain custom package pricing, enabling travelers to plan from the comfort of their homes. Toll free services are also available at 1-877-223-7226.
