MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Last year, the Carolinas PGA Section introduced a new way to play for the golfers of the Carolinas. The Carolinas PGA Golf League Championship was a welcome addition to the golf season, giving participating league players access to their stats, scores, pairings, and much more, on one easy to use website - www.carolinasgolfleague.com - and taking the top teams to a championship at Tobacco Road Golf Club, free of charge. Because of last year's success, the Carolinas PGA is bringing it one step further in 2009, with new additions to the system and a few welcome subtractions which will make playing league golf in the Carolinas even easier than ever.
There are two options for league play with the use of the Carolinas PGA Golf League system. The Carolinas PGA Golf League Network operates for league formats that are more non-traditional in focus. The options are limitless, as formats from individual player leagues all the way to multiple eight-person teams can use the system for only $5.00 per golfer. This system allows you to have a lot of fun with the formats and match-ups, and does all the work for you when it comes to scheduling rounds, making pairings, and scoring. However, for those who want to play for the title, the Carolinas PGA Golf League Championship provides just the right fit. The Carolinas PGA Golf League Championship is a system which allows at least ten, two-person teams to participate as a league. The cost for the system is a simple one-time charge to each league player of only $7.50, and with that $7.50, not only does the league get access to the entire system of scoring, stats, pairings, and network-wide features, they also get to send their top team to the league championship at the end of the season, at no cost!
If your league is already established, you've got everything you need to use the Carolinas PGA Golf League system. Already have your own scoring system? Don't worry! We found that a number of the leagues used two systems, keeping their traditional scoring for a fun, social, in-club championship, and using the league network system as an added bonus for their league teams. For those leagues, it was almost like getting two championships for the price of one! At only $7.50 a golfer, you can't go wrong!
And this year we're making it even easier to try the league system out before you buy. With the new 3-week trial, leagues can test the system out for two of their league rounds with no obligation to purchase the use of the system. This makes it easy to see just what the system will offer, and it lets all of your league players
participate by giving them usernames and passwords to view all of the different scoring and statistical features for a limited amount of time.
If you're curious as to how you can get your league involved in either of these easy-to-use systems, start by contacting your local Carolinas PGA Professional! They'll have all the information you need to get started. Before you know it, you could be playing for the championship this season!
