Barkley headlines "Tiger Woods Edition" of The Golf Fix; live coverage of Woods and Mickelson news conferences

In anticipation for Tiger Woods’ return to the PGA TOUR, GOLF CHANNEL updated its programming for the week of Feb. 23.

The Golf Fix: Charles Barkley Headlines Tiger Woods Edition (Monday, 8 p.m. ET)

Hosted by renowned golf instructor Michael Breed, the network’s fast-paced half-hour instruction show will air a special "Tiger Woods edition," welcoming special guest Charles Barkley via telephone. Barkley will discuss with Breed Woods’ return and what viewers can expect to see when Hank Haney attempts to fix his golf swing on GOLF CHANNEL's newest series, The Haney Project, premiering March 2 at 9 p.m. ET.

Woods and Mickelson News Conferences Live (Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. ET)

GOLF CHANNEL will air live Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods' news conferences on Tuesday from the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. Mickelson's news conference is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. ET, followed by Woods at noon.

Grey Goose 19th Hole (Tuesday, 8:30 p.m. ET)

Hank Haney will join hosts Vince Cellini and John Hawkins on a special Grey Goose 19th Hole to preview GOLF CHANNEL’s newest original series, The Haney Project (March 2 at 9 p.m. ET), when he will be tasked with fixing Charles Barkley’s golf swing.

Golf Central Special: Tiger Returns (Tuesday, 9 p.m. ET)

Golf Central will air a half-hour special previewing Woods’ return to tournament golf on Wednesday at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. The special will recap his news conference, interviews with his and feature insight from the network’s team of analysts.

Golf Central Pre Game (Wednesday, 1 p.m. ET)

Golf Central Pre Game will expand to one hour on Wednesday to prepare viewers for live, opening round coverage of the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship on GOLF CHANNEL beginning at 2 p.m. ET. Rich Lerner and Frank Nobilo will host Golf Central Pre Game at 1 p.m. ET.

WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship

Paul Azinger will make his GOLF CHANNEL analyst debut at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in Tucson, Ariz. Joining Azinger in the broadcast booth will be Nick Faldo – his Ryder Cup rival and former broadcast partner – and play-by-play host Brian Hammons. Gary Koch and Jimmy Roberts will call the action from the tower with Andrew Magee, Mark Rolfing and Roger Maltbie reporting from the course. Steve Sands will conduct interviews while Kelly Tilghman, as show host, will set the scene for viewers at the beginning of the telecasts and also conduct player interviews. GOLF CHANNEL will air live coverage Wednesday – Friday (Feb. 25-27) at 2 p.m. ET, followed by live, lead-in weekend coverage beginning at 10 a.m. ET Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 28 – March 1).
