SAINT HELENA ISLAND, S.C. -- Representatives of Dataw Island announced the addition of Ted Bartlett as general manager and chief operating officer of Dataw Island. In these roles, Bartlett's responsibilities include growing membership, improving and increasing club services, updating the club facilities at Dataw and coordinating all Dataw staff.
A native of King George, Va., Bartlett is a graduate of Virginia Tech University with a bachelor of science degree in hotel, restaurant and institutional management. He has also received certifications from the Club Managers Association of America, the Community Associations Institute and the American Sommelier Association. In total, Bartlett has more than 16 years of club management experience, including serving as director of operations for Caramel Country Club in Charlotte, N.C. and as general manager for Hermitage County Club in Richmond, Va.
