The inaugural Kodak Challenge completed its fourth hole of the season at the Buick Invitational. The 14th hole at Torrey Pines South Course proved to be one of the more difficult so far this season, however, Australian Jarrod Lyle's birdie on Saturday enabled him to join Zach Johnson, Cameron Beckman and Dustin Johnson atop the Kodak Challenge leaderboard.
Lyle, a leukemia survivor, finished 4th on last year's Nationwide Tour and earned full exempt status on the 2009 PGA TOUR. He has birdied each Kodak Challenge hole he has played this season.
Fan favorite Jason Gore also found success on this Kodak Challenge hole. Gore's birdie on Thursday moved him to 1-under par. Gore has played three of the four Kodak Challenge holes so far this season and is proving the Kodak Challenge is simple - you just have to play. Although Gore was not able to move up the leaderboard while playing the previous Kodak Challenge holes, he is just two shots behind the four leaders and can continue to put pressure on the leaders next week with solid play on the 18th hole at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
Stay tuned for more Kodak Challenge next week as players complete one of the most famous holes in all of golf.
