ONTARIO, Calif. – Oct. 29, 2004 – The Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau have announced that the Inland Empire Travel Show has signed a three-year contract to hold its annual convention in Ontario for 2005, 2006 and 2007. The event will feature regional and national visitors' bureaus, tour operators, cruise lines, resorts and attractions.
"Like so many other national clients, we have enjoyed a close working relationship with this client, which made it easy to recognize this venue and market needs for the Travel Show," said Gregg Caren, SMG's vice president of operations and business development. "Our goal is to continually reinforce the SMG network with our loyal clients and maintain Ontario's presence in the national marketplace."
The Inland Empire Travel Show is marketed to attract a travel-motivated audience by promoting to the vast Inland Empire marketplace on April 2-3, 2005, April 1-2, 2006 and March 24-25, 2007. More than 6,000 consumers and 200 travel agents are expected to attend each year, utilizing 225 hotel rooms and totaling $342,000 in economic impact for the city of Ontario.

"By producing travel shows throughout the country, we have been able to distinguish which shows work in certain markets and to tap into that market before our competition does."
