Jack R. Harrell extends service on Advisory Council of the EIG

Jack R. Harrell Jr., CEO of Harrell's Fertilizer Inc., has renewed his support of The Environmental Institute for Golf, the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), and will continue to serve on The Institute's Advisory Council for another two-year term.

The Advisory Council, headed by World Golf Hall of Fame member Greg Norman, provides guidance to The Institute's board of trustees in the areas of outreach, fundraising and strategic planning. The members are selected to enhance The Institute's ability to cultivate relationships with current and potential donors, as well as communicate the importance of the work conducted by The Institute.

"To have an industry partner like Jack recommit to the Advisory Council speaks volumes about the positive direction in which The Institute is going," Norman said. "We are pleased to have his support and will certainly continue to benefit from his presence on the Advisory Council."

"Our company philosophy is to grow a better world through excellence in service, integrity and value," Harrell said. "It compliments The Environmental Institute for Golf's dedication to strengthening the compatibility of golf with our natural environment and supporting some of our most important customers, golf course superintendents. The superintendent is the key to the enjoyment of the game and the economic vitality of golf facilities."
