Cordillera guests can tee off at six top private Colorada courses

VAIL VALLEY, Colo. (May 8, 2006) -- Where can golf enthusiasts escape to an intimate mountain retreat and have exclusive access to multiple award-winning private golf clubs? This summer, guests of the 56-room Lodge & Spa at Cordillera, a RockResort, can take a swing at The Red Sky Golf Club and The Club at Cordillera, offering numerous distinctive, championship courses between them. Designed by some of the most prestigious names in golf, from Nicklaus to Norman, The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera is one of few resorts in the country to offer its guests access to so many private courses, as well as two of the top-rated golf schools in the country: The Dave Pelz Scoring Game School and the David Ledbetter Golf Academy at Red Sky.

The Stay & Play package at The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera starts at $230 per person per night and is valid May 26 through September 30, 2006. The package includes accommodations and one round of golf per person at any of the four golf courses at the Club at Cordillera created by the world's greatest golf-course designers, as well as two championship courses at Red Sky Golf Club. The Club at Cordillera courses include: The Mountain Course, a Hale Irwin Signature design; the Summit Course crafted by Jack Nicklaus on 190 mountaintop acres at 9,000 feet; The Valley Course, a Tom Fazio Signature Design, lower in elevation by 2,100 feet and blessed with primarily southern exposure; and The Short Course, a 10-hole, par 3 Dave Pelz Signature Design, which is one of two in the world.

The Red Sky Golf Club features two championship courses designed by Tom Fazio and Greg Norman. Considered two of the most prestigious golf courses in America, both venues have been ranked in the top 100 golf courses to play in the United States, and in the top 10 in Colorado.
