TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. -- Dancin' Dogg Golf, the industry leaders in simulation technology, announces today the release of their Optistix Simulation Drivers. Optistix by Dancin' Dogg Golf is a custom club that is optimized to work with the sophisticated Optishotâ„¢ indoor simulation system.
"Although standard irons work extremely well with our infrared system, a very small percentage of drivers have unique shapes and materials that do not interact as well as we would like. For this reason, we have developed and tested our own driver that performs to our exacting standards," said Russell Edens, President of Dancin' Dogg Golf.
Some time ago, we offered reflective tape to put on the bottom of clubs as a temporary solution for the few customers who experienced some errors using their woods along with the simulator. "It was always our goal to have a long-term solution to the driver issue to meet our pinpoint accuracy expectations, and using tape was never viewed to be that permanent solution," says Edens.
Although Dancin' Dogg Golf used reflective tape early on in company history and established, with the help of patent attorneys, that this did not infringe any known patents, Golf Tech LLC of Maine filed a patent infringement lawsuit on the use of tape. "We have already stopped using reflective tape for reasons unrelated to the suit. It is unfortunate that we live in a lawsuit-hungry society where lawyers extract money from small businesses, when common sense should prevail," says Edens. "In the long run, all of society pays for such trivial suits on obsolete technology."
Edens concludes, "The release of Optistix Drivers supports our focus of providing the most complete, accurate, and affordable home golf simulation system. We knew that offering a sophisticated infrared simulation system for $399 would cause a stir, and be virtually impossible to compete with. Giving our customers a free driver with their purchase again illustrates our commitment to our Optishot audience. If our customers are happy, they tell their friends about our products. That's what we are looking for!"
